To do a good job, one must first sharpen one's tools.
I consider myself to be someone who is good at searching for information, but after a year of internships and job hunting, I still missed out on a lot of information. There were some positions with great cost-effectiveness that only fresh graduates could apply for, and I feel a little regretful about that.
Now, based on my own experience, I will introduce several essential sources of information for fresh graduates and their respective characteristics.
You can choose according to your own job search characteristics, but be careful not to immerse yourself in the flow of information every day. It is not only futile but also increases anxiety and wastes time~
Official Accounts#
- Official recruitment accounts of major companies, used to track progress
- Recruitment accounts of state-owned enterprises and central enterprises, Hubei state-owned enterprise recruitment
- Wuhan University employment, Wuhan University selection and adjustment
- Targeted industry recruitment accounts, such as bank recruitment websites
Speaking of official accounts, I have to complain that some of them have no value and are basically clickbait or advertisement accounts. After the autumn recruitment ended, I unfollowed all of them one by one, and the world became much quieter!
NowCoder - Collecting interview experiences and reviewing interview processes#
There is a lot of valuable information on NowCoder, such as interview experiences. I highly recommend searching for interview experiences of a specific company on NowCoder before interviewing with that company. There is a chance you will encounter similar questions. I have personally encountered this several times, and it has proven to be very effective to cram at the last minute if you focus on the right things.
Maimai - Checking company reputation#
There are significant differences between departments within companies, and Maimai's main user group is employed professionals. It provides a better understanding of the company and department you are considering joining compared to NowCoder. However, Maimai can be quite negative, as every company has its own issues. So, take it with a grain of salt and approach it with a dialectical mindset.
Offershow - Comparing salaries#
Compare salaries after receiving an offer. Looking at it every day only affects your mindset and has no real impact.
Xiaohongshu (Little Red Book)#
Look for niche companies with good benefits, mainly state-owned enterprises.
Guopin.com#
A website for national construction, where both national and central enterprises are listed. It's a great resource that I wish I had discovered earlier! https://www.iguopin.com/
Employment websites of major universities#
I recommend only looking at platforms that are equal to or higher than your own university's platform. You can use RSS to actively subscribe to the daily updates of these websites.
Here are a few examples:

WeChat Groups
Join one or two valuable WeChat groups, quality over quantity. It can be a job group within your department or a small group established with a few close friends for the autumn recruitment. It's good to vent and share information in these groups. The long job search process can be tough, and having an outlet for release is necessary. Of course, choosing to share through social media is also great.
But avoid joining groups that are full of advertisements or selling courses, as they have no value at all with hundreds or thousands of members.
Tip: When browsing, you can create a table and jot down the names of the companies you are interested in (especially state-owned and central enterprises, as there is an overwhelming amount of information when they start recruiting) to avoid missing out on applications.
